Kitchen/Catering Support Assistant based at our Kingsham site

Hours: 25.83 hours per week - 5 days a week, 8.30am to 2pm Term Time only, 38 weeks + 5 Inset

Salary: WSCC Grade 6 (£25,119 to be pro rated)

Contract Type: Permanent

Starting: Monday 4th November 2024 (Possibly sooner if DBS is returned and the successful candidate is available)


Job Specification

Fordwater is a great special school with many ‘outstanding’ features supporting children age 2-19 years with a range of special educational and complex learning needs including PMLD, SLD, and ASC.  The school is on an exciting journey of development and are looking to expand our enthusiastic, committed and experienced team. 

This unique Kitchen Assistant role will be based at our Kingsham site, situated at the Chichester High school, Kingsham Road, wil be combined with the role of a Specialist Support Assistant to provide healthy and freshly produced school meals at the Kingsham site. You will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, service clearing and cleaning of the kitchen environment within the required standards, ensuring hygiene and safety measures are maintained at all times. You will also support groups of students and staff who are using the kitchen to develop their life skills through cooking the daily meals.
