Job Specification
Fordwater School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and committed person to work within our Premises Team to support in the maintenance and improvement of our school buildings and grounds.
We are looking to recruit a Cleaning Supervisor / Premises Officer within our Premises team to assist in the provision of cleaning supervision, maintenance and security services on the school premises and site, ensuring a safe, efficient and fit for purpose working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the provision of maintenance and security services on the school premises and site, thereby ensuring a safe, efficient and fit for purpose working environment
- Supervise the work of all cleaning staff in order to maintain and deliver a quality service according to set work schedules and procedures
- Support the development of the school by working a shift roster, to provide cleaning supervision during the week and to act as an effective on-site contact point for school activities and community lettings
- Attending the site outside of normal working hours in regards to locking/unlocking and any additional cleaning, setting of security alarm systems and carrying out security checks.
Essential skills and qualifications include
- Basic standard of secondary education with good numeracy and literary skills including GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Previous experience
- Willingness to participate in training
- The ability to implement and adhere to standards and procedures
- Health and Safety experience
- Good interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
