The sunflower is the national flower for the Ukraine and a symbol of hope. Everyone at Fordwater have been planting sunflower seeds. Can you decorate your flowerpot and plant your sunflower seeds.

 

This half term, the secondary department have been learning about machines and inventions. We have been watching and reading Wall.E.

Can you watch Wall.e and get some ideas on how to build a junk model using recycled materials around the home?

Enjoy some breathing exercises to help relax you.

Try doing your breathing exercises every day. You can share how to do your breathing exercises with the rest of your family.

Fine Motor Skills

 

Using the play dough in your activity pack, watch and copy the disco dough link:

Can you finish the whole song?

 

Make a sandwich, using a knife to spread the butter and cut the bread.

Once you have made your sandwich, complete the ‘Making a Ham Sandwich’ worksheet.

Use kitchen tongs to move items from one place to another, this activity practices hand strength and coordination.

 

Numeracy

 

Can you try making a pulley system? Watch the video clip to show you how. 

Do a 3D shape hunt around your home using your shapes sheet. Take pictures of the different shaped items that you find.

 

Using the Interlocking cubes in your pack, how many construction cards can you complete?

 

Sequence the 3-step instruction in your pack. Stick the answers to your book.

 

Now that you have planted your sunflower seeds, start to complete your sunflower diary. Draw what you can see happening each week in the flower pot. How tall is your sunflower?
